Mission Statement

The mission of the Transgender Medicine and Research Committee is to promote research and dissemination of knowledge regarding health and health care among the transgender population. This includes the areas of preventive health, chronic illness, hormone therapy, access to care, and HIV/STD prevention and treatment. Our mission also includes the education of health care professionals on effective clinical management of transgender patients in these areas.
