The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) invites the submission of abstracts for Oral and Poster sessions as well as State-of-the-Art Symposia to be considered for presentation at the WPATH 28th Scientific Symposium.
The WPATH 28th Scientific Symposium “A Gender Diverse World in Global Unity” will be held at the EPIC SANA Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal, September 25-30, 2024 (Pre-Courses: September 25-26, 2024; Scientific Sessions: September 26-30, 2024.) We look forward to receiving your submission. The Symposium will be presented in both live and virtual formats, giving attendees multiple viewing options.
The WPATH 28th Scientific Symposium will be led by WPATH President Dr. Marci Bowers and Scientific Co-Chairs Dr. Müjde Özer and Dr. Thomas Satterwhite.
The WPATH 2024 Steering Committee and the WPATH Board of Directors will schedule a program that will offer a great educational experience with a variety of viewing options. Our goal remains the same; to promote evidence-based care, education, research, public policy, and respect in transgender health.
The extended deadline for submissions is Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 11:59pm US Eastern Time (GMT-4).

Booking Payment Conditions - All reservations require a valid credit card. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize the credit card prior to arrival. The reservation will only be guaranteed upon advance payment of 2 nights via bank transfer or via secure online payment through an email/link to be sent by the Hotel. Remaining payment will be charged 15 days before arrival via bank transfer or via secure online payment.
Booking Cancellations: until 15 days before the arrival date, 2 nights will be charged. Late cancellations (14 days before) or no-shows will be charged the total amount of the stay.

WPATH will offer a live-only Surgeon's Program at the Epic Sana Lisboa Hotel on September 25 and 26, 2024, prior to the WPATH 28th Scientific Symposium. This program will feature a variety of gender affirming surgery topics, and is only available to those who plan to register and attend the live Symposium in Lisbon.
For the first time ever, WPATH is excited to open registration for ALL ATTENDEES to join our Surgeons and Surgical Team Members on Day 2 of the Surgeon’s Program.
